Saggin vs. Cuppin

I am trying to figure out why no one is writing about the epidemic of White, teenaged girl, butt cheeks constantly being on display?  Everywhere I go: airports, grocery stores, amusement parks, malls, restaurants, and any public street there are White pre-teen and teenage girls with shorts that are cut so that anywhere from 1/2 to 2 inches of their butts are hanging out of the bottom.

Some of the shorts are even cut at an angle to show the butt  more “strategically.”

Now let me remind you about all of the outrage expressed about Black men in saggy pants.  Towns across the country passed laws making sagging pants illegal.  Violators can be fined a minimum of $300 or thrown in jail for up to 3 years if caught wearing pants that expose their underwear.

Let me be clear, when I see a young man half limping down a sidewalk, with one hand on his pants, and an awkward gait, desperately trying to keep his pants up, I immediately want to grab him by his ear– the one with the stupidly large fake diamond in it — and to tell him how absolutely ridiculous he looks.

However, I never viewed it as a situation where politicians and police needed to be involved.  But, as it always seems in the case of Black males, they are.

Regardless of how you feel about either of these teenage fashion faux pas, you must ask: Why is seeing the underwear of Black boys more offensive then seeing the actual bare butts of White girls?

The absence of any logical answer is the real story.
